Payroll taxes in the Netherlands

The Dutch 'payroll tax' (in Dutch 'Loonheffing') is a combined levy of wage tax and social security premiums. It is composed of the following elements:

• Wage tax;
• National social insurance contributions;
• Employee insurance contributions; and
• Income-dependent healthcare insurance contribution.
